Art is Home has opened the doors to its latest home: shared artist spaces inside De Hillevliet – a cultural and social hub in Rotterdam Zuid.

These are spaces to build your practice, host your workshops, share your ideas, and be part of a growing creative community rooted in care, collaboration, and connection.

We welcome artists of all kinds, especially those whose work is community-oriented or socially engaged (broadly defined!).

TWO WAYS TO join:

Artist Studio Space
Your own creative corner (~6m2) in a collaborative environment, with room to build your practice, host workshops, and share ideas.

• €290/month (excl. BTW)
• Flexible set-up: raise the floor, add storage, expand if needed.
• Minimum stay: 6 months (2-month trial period)

Artist Membership
For creatives without a personal studio, but full access to the space

• €150/month (excl. BTW)
• Co-working, shared table, tools & meeting room included
• Host workshops and events at no extra cost
• Minimum: 6-month membership

What’s included for all:

• Workshop tools (wood, sewing, papercraft & more)
• Fully equipped kitchen, coffee/tea, and fresh daily meals at Mensa Mensa
• Living room for breaks, chats, and comfort
• Private meeting room
• Space to host your own workshops, events, and exhibitions
• Fully accessible (wheelchair-friendly, spacious, step-free)
• A welcoming, collaborative community
• Art is Home co-founders and team working on-site daily (building alongside you, not just managing from a distance).

ABOUT INTRO

INTRO is the mini-gallery in the entrance hall of De Hillevliet: a small space with a big heart.

In 2026, Art is Home x De Hillevliet will join forces to bring the space to life with exhibitions, experiments and creative projects from the community.

INTRO is located in the entrance hall of De Hillevliet, Hillevliet 90, Rotterdam Zuid.

Opening hours Mon to Fri 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

OPEN CALL 2026

We are starting with an open call for creators who want to be part of this. We are particularly interested in artists who do not often get a platform. Think of: emerging creators, hobbyists who want to take a leap, people showing their work for the first time, and local creatives from (or around) the Hillevliet community.

WE ACCEPT APPLICATIONS FOR:

SMALL WORKS – CREATIVE PROGRAMMING.
